Si sono svolte oggi le nomination per la 72esima edizione dei Golden Globe Awards, i premi televisivi e cinematografici che verranno assegnati l’11 gennaio 2015 dalla Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA): in onda negli Stati Uniti su NBC, la cerimonia sarà condotta anche quest'anno dalle attrici Tina Fey e Amy Poehler.
Nella categoria cinematografica Birdman, il film di Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu che ha inaugurato l'ultima Mostra del cinema di Venezia, guida le nomination con ben 7 candidature, seguito da Boyhood e The Imitation Game con 5, Gone Girl e Grand Budapest Hotel con 4, Selma e Foxcatcher con 3.
Da segnalare sono la candidatura a David Fincher come miglior regista per Gone Girl, mentre il film non ha ottenuto una nomination come miglior film, ma soprattutto la doppia candidatura ottenuta da Julianne Moore (una per Still Alice come migliore attrice in un film drammatico, l’altra per Maps to the Stars come migliore attrice in una commedia/musical).
